Name: Jersey Devil
Question: What does it look like and what's the real stroy of this cryptid?
My Answer: Good evening Jersey Devil (well, its evening where I live that is). After a few Google searches and reading some very interesting, albeit spooky stories, I have compiled a good answer to both your questions. Lets start the latter question: what is the story of the cryptid known as the Jersey Devil?
The Jersey Devil originated from, well, New Jersey. Exactly where is for you to decide. As is how this creature came into being. One of the tales is about a woman named Janet Leeds who lived in Estelville, New Jeresy. This woman is pregnant with her 13th child. But after having 12 other children she is unhappy, and wishes for the baby to be the devil. Though she probably didn't mean it literally, none the less she got her wish. The baby was born with horns, a horse-like head, and long body and horse hooves as well as wings. It is said that the creature escaped through the chimney during a storm. By flying. Very creepy, almost horror-movie worthy if you ask me. Other similar tales place the location of birth at Leeds Point, New Jersey, and the mother's name being Mrs. Shroud. Another story (which I judge to being unrelated to the first two since it takes place later than the others) says that during the Revolutionary War, a young girl falls in love with a British soldier. In turn, the town curses her child, to which she ends up birthing the Jersey Devil.
Since the birthing of this creature (no matter which story you believe), there have been over 2,000 recorded sightings. There is a storyline to these stories, which I will now summarize:
The town of Leed's Point, after the Devil is born, continued to be haunted by the beast, the beast having kidnapped and killed chickens, livestock, dogs, and even young children. It got to the point where grown men were afraid to go outside. So they called in a minister to exorcise the nearby Pine Barrens (a forest), where the people believed the creature lived. It was meant to last 100 years later. Which sorta-kinda worked, with only a few sightings during the 100 years. But sure enough, the sightings and encounters were being reported almost everdyay after the 100 year period was up. After a few weeks of constant schreeching, thumping, and glowing red eyes, the citizens of Leeds Point were so scared, it was unbelievable. around 1909, the sightings mysteriously ended, only to start again in 1927, and continues on till today, where there a few sightings but not as much as there used to be. So that's the story of the Jersey Devil, who by 1900 could be sighted in many more areas in New Jersey, including large sightings in Bristol and Burlington, even some sightings in Pennsylvannia and New York. Now, you asked for a picture or description of what this cryptid looks like. I found a very famous image of the creature, drawn based on descriptions given by eye witnesses.

Any other questions?

From: Karren
Story: Well...I was riding my bike home when i heard a hiss..i thought it was a cat (sounded like one)(and i love cats!Who doesn't?) so i got off my bike and walked over to where i thought i heard the sound i couldn't find that cat that mister fuzzums as i remember whanting to call him but just as i turned to leave i saw this large creature i couldn't identify..it was probaly like two feet and was like this big puff ball with no tail and a bluish sort of face...it was so...ugly...and i can't tell if the things sticking out of its head was horns or ears and it didn't have any claws or if i can tell i don't know if it had feet at all...maybe its fur was covering that? It was NO CAT! or maybe a walking pom pom.. seriously it was uuuggglyyy!
My Response:
Well Karren, I don't know what to say. At first I thought it was a joke, but now I think you may seen something strange. Lets look our choices:
When trying to prove something, the best thing to do first is to try and disprove it. You said it was really furry, like a puff ball, with horns or ears and a blueish face? It could have been black and the lighting in the area made it appear blue. This opens up the possibility of it being a hedgehog. Again, please give a general location of the sighting, such as state(if in U.S.) or country. Otherwise I will have no idea what lives in your area, and I won't do anything with this info. You can also recommend I keep your location private. Karren, I don't know of any cryptids that fit your description, but I will do some more research and get back to you on this. Hope this helps.
Karren's Response:
Hey your right! Hedgehogs do live in my area!
Now that you said it ,it was probaly a hedgehog
My Response (2):
Well, since I don't what state and/or country you're from, I couldn't find anything specific. To many possibilities. But I am glad that you are thinking logically, and I am also glad to have been some assitance to you. Keep me updated!

1st form from tk: I asked my mom about wierd paranormal experiences this is what she told me....
"When I was about 17 (she is 29) she was going to a city by my hometown (my hometown is Wapato,WA and she was going to yakima, WA)and she was with a friend who I will nickname thumb anyways she was on the highway and in the sky she sees a blue light going towards a hill( it is a big hill that has houses on it) then her and thumb started freaking out about it then the next day it was on the radio that there was alot of black SUVs and men dressed in black telling the radio reporter then no one was allowed back there ect"
I'm sure you know what they would say and till this day she has not figured out what it was but I am sure that she thinks it was a UFO.
Response: Well tk, I am going to agree with you on this one. It might just have been a UFO. But, I guess we may never find this one out for sure, because everything about UFO's is contreversial to the max. Here is what I mean: It could have been spacial debry burning in the atmosphere, it could have been a comet, too. But, as I have said, I to think and hope it was UFO.
Your regards, The Investigator
2nd form: BATMAN IS HE REAL AFTER ALL???
Hello again it is me this is another experience that my mom had with "thumb" she said that she was sitting outside with her then she looked up in the sky and seen a huge creature that looked like a man with bat wings she the looked at her friend and she too saw it they got so scared they ran inside and waited for "thumb's" boyfriend to come inside so he could walk my mom to her car. tell me what you think thanks.
My response:
I did some digging around the internet and found some possibilities. Here are the scientificly known possibilities: a crane. Sounds weird, but Some people have apparently been mistaking it for flying men, who knew. Another is the batsquatch. Stop laughing, it is a true cryptid lol. Here is a few links to some information and drawings of it. Show your mom the drawings and see if she recognizes them.

It also could have been a pterosaur(I think I spelled that right lol). You know, pterosaur, flying dinosaur, like from the ending of jurassic park. There have been sightings of it there to.
Hope this helps!

Message: I once saw this thing with 2 wings.. and it was flying.. what do you think it was dude?
Well, dude, my first bet is going to be a bird. If you could give me more information, like color of it's feathers, beak, legs, how big would be, it's estimated wingspan, I will update this post with a more accurate description. Thanks.
